unattended；　　　while　　　he　　　who　　　had　　　been　　　loudest　　　and　　　most　　　valiant　　　at　

the　supper…table　or　the　tavern；　and　had　but　a　mile　or　so　to　go；　was　

glad　to　fee　a　link…boy　to　escort　him　home。
