t thee； they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee： there is none understanding in him。
1：8耶和华说，到那日，我岂不从以东除灭智慧人，从以扫山除灭聪明人。
Shall I not in that day； saith the LORD； even destroy the wise men out of Edom； and understanding out of the mount of Esau？
1：9毯螅哪，你的勇士必惊惶，甚至以扫山的人，都被杀戮剪除。
And thy mighty men； O Teman； shall be dismayed； to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter。
1：10因你向兄弟雅各行强暴，羞愧必遮盖你，你也必永远断绝。
For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee； and thou shalt be cut off for ever。
1：11当外人掳掠雅各的财物，外邦人进入他的城门，为耶路撒冷拈阄的日子，你竟站在一旁，像与他们同夥。
In the day that thou stoodest on the other side； in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces； and foreigners entered into his gates； and cast lots upon Jerusalem； even thou wast as one of them。
1：12你兄弟遭难的日子，你不当瞪眼看着，犹大人被灭的日子，你不当因此欢乐。他们遭难的日子，你不当说狂傲的话。
But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger； neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction； neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress。
1：13我民遭灾的日子，你不当进他们的城门。他们遭灾的日子，你不当瞪眼看着他们受苦。他们遭灾的日子，你不当伸手抢他们的财物。
Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity； yea； thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity； nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity；
1：14你不当站在岔路口，剪除他们中间逃脱的。他们遭难的日子，你不当将他们剩下的人交付仇敌。
Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway； to cut off those of his that did escape； neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress。
1：15耶和华降罚的日子临近万国。你怎样行，他也必照样向你行。你的报应必归到你头上。
For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen： as thou hast done； it shall be done unto thee： thy reward shall return upon thine own head。
1：16你们犹大人在我圣山怎样喝了苦杯，万国也必照样常常地喝。且喝且咽，他们就归于无有。
For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain； so shall all the heathen drink continually； yea； they shall drink； and they shall swallow down； and they shall be as though they had not been。
1：17在锡安山必有逃脱的人，那山也必成圣。雅各家必得原有的产业。
But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance； and there shall be holiness； and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions。
1：18雅各家必成为大火，约瑟家必为火焰，以扫家必如碎秸，火必将他烧着吞灭。以扫家必无馀剩的。这是耶和华说的。
And the house of Jacob shall be a fire； and the house of Joseph a flame； and the house of Esau for stubble； and they shall kindle in them； and devour them； and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau； for the LORD hath spoken it。
1：19南地的人必得以扫山，高原的人必得非利士地，也得以法莲地，和撒玛利亚地，便雅悯人必得基列。
And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau； and they of the plain the Philistines： and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim； and the fields of Samaria： and Benjamin shall possess Gilead。
1：20在迦南人中被掳的以色列众人，必得地直到撒勒法。在西法拉中被掳的耶路撒冷人，必得南地的城邑。
And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites； even unto Zarephath； and the captivity of Jerusalem； which is in Sepharad； shall possess the cities of the south。
1：21必有拯救者上到锡安山，审判以扫山，国度就归耶和华了。
And saviours shall e up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau； and the kingdom shall be the LORD's。

Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai； saying；
1：2你起来往尼尼微大城去，向其中的居民呼喊。因为他们的恶达到我面前。
Arise； go to Nineveh； that great city； and cry against it； for their wickedness is e up before me。
1：3约拿却起来，逃往他施去躲避耶和华。下到约帕，遇见一只船，要往他施去。他就给了船价，上了船，要与船上的人同往他施去躲避耶和华。
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD； and went down to Joppa； and he found a ship going to Tarshish： so he paid the fare thereof； and went down into it； to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD。
1：4然而耶和华使海中起大风，海就狂风大作，甚至船几乎破坏。
But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea； and there was a mighty tempest in the sea； so that the ship was like to be broken。
1：5水手便惧怕，各人哀求自己的神。他们将船上的货物抛在海中，为要使船轻些。约拿已下到底舱，躺卧沉睡。
Then the mariners were afraid； and cried every man unto his god； and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea； to lighten it of them。 But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship； and he lay； and was fast asleep。
1：6船主到他那里对他说，你这沉睡的人哪，为何这样呢。起来，求告你的神，或者神顾念我们，使我们不致灭亡。
So the shipmaster came to him； and said unto him； What meanest thou； O sleeper？ arise； call upon thy God； if so be that God will think upon us； that we perish not。
1：7船上的人彼此说，来吧，我们掣签，看看这灾临到我们是因谁的缘故。于是他们掣签，掣出约拿来。
And they said every one to his fellow； e； and let us cast lots； that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us。 So they cast lots； and the lot fell upon Jonah。
1：8众人对他说，请你告诉我们，这灾临到我们是因谁的缘故。你以何事为业。你从哪里来。你是哪一国，属哪一族的人。
Then said they unto him； Tell us； we pray thee； for whose cause this evil is upon us； What is thine occupation？ and whence est thou？ what is thy country？ and of what people art thou？
1：9他说，我是希伯来人。我敬畏耶和华，那创造沧海旱地之天上的神。
And he said unto them； I am an Hebrew； and I fear the LORD； the God of heaven； which hath made the sea and the dry land。
1：10他们就大大惧怕，对他说，你做的是什么事呢。他们已经知道他躲避耶和华，因为他告诉了他们。
Then were the men exceedingly afraid； and said unto him； Why hast thou done this？ For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD； because he had told them。
1：11他们问他说，我们当向你怎样行，使海浪平静呢。这话是因海浪越发翻腾。
Then said they unto him； What shall we do unto thee； that the sea may be calm unto us？ for the sea wrought； and was tempestuous。
1：12他对他们说，你们将我抬起来，抛在海中，海就平静了。我知道你们遭这大风，是因我的缘故。
And he said unto them； Take me up； and cast me forth into the sea； so shall the sea be calm unto you： for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you。
1：13然而那些人竭力荡桨，要把船拢岸，却是不能。因为海浪越发向他们翻腾。
Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land； but they could not： for the sea wrought； and was tempestuous against them。
1：14他们便求告耶和华说，耶和华阿，我们恳求你，不要因这人的性命使我们死亡，不要使流无辜血的罪归与我们。因为你耶和华是随自己的意旨行事。
Wherefore they cried unto the LORD； and said； We beseech thee； O LORD； we beseech thee； let us not perish for this man's life； and lay not upon us innocent blood： for thou； O LORD； hast done as it pleased thee。
1：15他们遂将约拿抬起，抛在海中，海的狂浪就平息了。
So they took up Jonah； and cast him forth into the sea： and the sea ceased from her raging。
1：16那些人便大大敬畏耶和华，向耶和华献祭，并且许愿。
Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly； and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD； and made vows。
1：17耶和华安排一条大鱼吞了约拿，他在鱼腹中三日三夜。
Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah。 And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights。

Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly；
2：2说，我遭遇患难求告耶和华，你就应允我。从阴间的深处呼求，你就俯听我的声音。
And said； I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD； and he heard me； out of the belly of hell cried I； and thou heardest my voice。
2：3你将我投下深渊，就是海的深处。大水环绕我。你的波浪洪涛都漫过我身。
For thou hadst cast me into the deep； in the midst of the seas； and the floods passed me about： all thy billows and thy waves passed over me。
2：4我说，我从你眼前虽被驱逐，我仍要仰望你的圣殿。
Then I said； I am cast out of thy sight； yet I will look again toward thy holy temple。
2：5诸水环绕我，几乎淹没我。深渊围住我，海草缠绕我的头。
The waters passed me about； even to the soul： the depth closed me round about； the weeds were wrapped about my head。
2：6我下到山根。地的门将我永远关住。耶和华我的神阿，你却将我的性命，从坑中救出来。
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains； the earth with her bars was about me for ever： yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption； O LORD my God。
2：7我心在我里面发昏的时候，我就想念耶和华。我的祷告进入你的圣殿，达到你的面前。
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD： and my prayer came in unto thee； into thine holy temple。
2：8那信奉虚无之神的人，离弃怜爱他们的主。
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy。
2：9但我必用感谢的声音献祭与你。我所许的愿，我必偿还。救恩出于耶和华。
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving； I will pay that that I have vowed。 Salvation is of the LORD。
2：10耶和华吩咐鱼，鱼就把约拿吐在旱地上。
And the LORD spake unto the fish； and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land。

So Jonah arose； and went unto Nineveh； according to the word of the LORD。 Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey。
3：4约拿进城走了一日，宣告说，再等四十日，尼尼微必倾覆了。
And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey； and he cried； and said； Yet forty days； and Nineveh shall be overthrown。
