And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard; and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house; lest he die in the battle; and another man eat of it。
20:7谁聘定了妻,尚未迎娶,他可以回家去,恐怕他阵亡,别人去娶。
And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife; and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house; lest he die in the battle; and another man take her。
20:8官长又要对百姓宣告说,谁惧怕胆怯,他可以回家去,恐怕他弟兄的心消化,和他一样。
And the officers shall speak further unto the people; and they shall say; What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house; lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart。
20:9官长对百姓宣告完了,就当派军长率领他们。
And it shall be; when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people; that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people。
20:10你临近一座城,要攻打的时候,先要对城里的民宣告和睦的话。
When thou est nigh unto a city to fight against it; then proclaim peace unto it。
20:11他们若以和睦的话回答你,给你开了城,城里所有的人都要给你效劳,服事你。
And it shall be; if it make thee answer of peace; and open unto thee; then it shall be; that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee; and they shall serve thee。
20:12若不肯与你和好,反要与你打仗,你就要围困那城。
And if it will make no peace with thee; but will make war against thee; then thou shalt besiege it:
20:13耶和华你的神把城交付你手,你就要用刀杀尽这城的男丁。
And when the LORD thy God hath delivered it into thine hands; thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
20:14惟有妇女,孩子,牲畜,和城内一切的财物,你可以取为自己的掠物。耶和华你神把你仇敌的财物赐给你,你可以吃用。
But the women; and the little ones; and the cattle; and all that is in the city; even all the spoil thereof; shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies; which the LORD thy God hath given thee。
20:15离你甚远的各城,不是这些国民的城,你都要这样待他。
Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee; which are not of the cities of these nations。
20:16但这些国民的城,耶和华你神既赐你为业,其中凡有气息的,一个不可存留。
But of the cities of these people; which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance; thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
20:17只要照耶和华你神所吩咐的将这赫人,亚摩利人,迦南人,比利洗人,希未人,耶布斯人都灭绝净尽,
But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely; the Hittites; and the Amorites; the Canaanites; and the Perizzites; the Hivites; and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath manded thee:
20:18免得他们教导你们学习一切可憎恶的事,就是他们向自己神所行的,以致你们得罪耶和华你们的神。
That they teach you not to do after all their abominations; which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God。
20:19你若许久围困,攻打所要取的一座城,就不可举斧子砍坏树木。因为你可以吃那树上的果子,不可砍伐。田间的树木岂是人,叫你糟蹋吗,
When thou shalt besiege a city a long time; in making war against it to take it; thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them; and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:
20:20惟独你所知道不是结果子的树木可以毁坏,砍伐,用以修筑营垒,攻击那与你打仗的城,直到攻塌了。
Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat; thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee; until it be subdued。

21:1在耶和华你神所赐你为业的地上,若遇见被杀的人倒在田野,不知道是谁杀的,
If one be found slain in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it; lying in the field; and it be not known who hath slain him:
21:2长老和审判官就要出去,从被杀的人那里量起,直量到四围的城邑,
Then thy elders and thy judges shall e forth; and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain:
21:3看哪城离被杀的人最近,那城的长老就要从牛群中取一只未曾耕地,未曾负轭的母牛犊,
And it shall be; that the city which is next unto the slain man; even the elders of that city shall take an heifer; which hath not been wrought with; and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
21:4把母牛犊牵到流水,未曾耕种的山谷去,在谷中打折母牛犊的颈项。
And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley; which is neither eared nor sown; and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley:
21:5祭司利未的子孙要近前来。因为耶和华你的神拣选了他们事奉他,奉耶和华的名祝福,所有争讼殴打的事都要凭他们判断。
And the priests the sons of Levi shall e near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him; and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:
21:6那城的众长老,就是离被杀的人最近的,要在那山谷中,在所打折颈项的母牛犊以上洗手,
And all the elders of that city; that are next unto the slain man; shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley:
21:7祷告(原文作回答)说,我们的手未曾流这人的血。我们的眼也未曾看见这事。
And they shall answer and say; Our hands have not shed this blood; neither have our eyes seen it。
21:8耶和华阿,求你赦免你所救赎的以色列民,不要使流无辜血的罪归在你的百姓以色列中间。这样,流血的罪必得赦免。
Be merciful; O LORD; unto thy people Israel; whom thou hast redeemed; and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge。 And the blood shall be forgiven them。
21:9你行耶和华眼中看为正的事,就可以从你们中间除掉流无辜血的罪。
So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you; when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD。
21:10你出去与仇敌争战的时候,耶和华你的神将他们交在你手中,你就掳了他们去,
When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies; and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands; and thou hast taken them captive;
21:11若在被掳的人中见有美貌的女子,恋慕她,要娶她为妻,
And seest among the captives a beautiful woman; and hast a desire unto her; that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
21:12就可以领她到你家里去。她便要剃头发,修指甲,
Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head; and pare her nails;
21:13脱去被掳时所穿的衣服,住在你家里哀哭父母一个整月,然后可以与她同房。你作她的丈夫,她作你的妻子。
And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her; and shall remain in thine house; and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her; and be her husband; and she shall be thy wife。
21:14后来你若不喜悦她,就要由她随意出去,决不可为钱卖她,也不可当婢女待她,因为你玷污了她。
And it shall be; if thou have no delight in her; then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money; thou shalt not make merchandise of her; because thou hast humbled her。
21:15人若有二妻,一为所爱,一为所恶,所爱的,所恶的都给他生了儿子,但长子是所恶之妻生的。
If a man have two wives; one beloved; and another hated; and they have born him children; both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
21:16到了把产业分给儿子承受的时候,不可将所爱之妻生的儿子立为长子,在所恶之妻生的儿子以上,
Then it shall be; when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath; that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated; which is indeed the firstborn:
21:17却要认所恶之妻生的儿子为长子,将产业多加一分给他。因这儿子是他力量强壮的时候生的,长子的名分本当归他。
But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn; by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his。
21:18人若有顽梗悖逆的儿子,不听从父母的话,他们虽惩治他,他仍不听从,
If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son; which will not obey the voice of his father; or the voice of his mother; and that; when they have chastened him; will not hearken unto them:
21:19父母就要抓住他,将他带到本地的城门,本城的长老那里,
Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him; and bring him out unto the elders of his city; and unto the gate of his place;
21:20对长老说,我们这儿子顽梗悖逆,不听从我们的话,是贪食好酒的人。
And they shall say unto the elders of his city; This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton; and a drunkard。
21:21本城的众人就要用石头将他打死。这样,就把那恶从你们中间除掉,以色列众人都要听见害怕。
And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones; that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear; and fear。
21:22人若犯该死的罪,被治死了,你将他挂在木头上,
And if a man have mitted a sin worthy of death; and he be to be put to death; and thou hang him on a tree:
21:23他的尸首不可留在木头上过夜,必要当日将他葬埋,免得玷污了耶和华你神所赐你为业之地。因为被挂的人是在神面前受咒诅的。
His body shall not remain all night upon the tree; but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled; which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance。

22:1你若看见弟兄的牛或羊失迷了路,不可佯为不见,总要把它牵回来交给你的弟兄。
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray; and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother。
22:2你弟兄若离你远,或是你不认识他,就要牵到你家去,留在你那里,等你弟兄来寻梢就还给他。
And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee; or if thou know him not; then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house; and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it; and thou shalt restore it to him again。
22:3你的弟兄无论失落什么,或是驴,或是衣服,你若遇见,都要这样行,不可佯为不见。
In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's; which he hath lost; and thou hast found; shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself。
22:4你若看见弟兄的牛或驴跌倒在路上,不可佯为不见,总要帮助他拉起来。
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by
